Privacy policy
This is a personal fanzine. I don’t want your data.
What this site does with your data
Nothing. The site is static HTML, images, and video embeds. No account system, no login, no newsletter, no tracking pixel, no analytics, no cookies beyond what your browser sets by default for caching static files.
Your IP address and user agent do appear in webserver access logs kept by GitLab Pages (the host) and Cloudflare (the CDN in front of media.powell.at). I don’t read those logs. I don’t sell, share, or aggregate them. If those providers retain them according to their own policies, that is between you and them — I have no control over it and no access to identifying data.
What this site does when I, the author, use it
When I upload a photo or video through my own pipeline, the uploaded bytes land on my storage. That’s my own content about my own life. If you appear in a photo and you’d rather not, email me (below) and I’ll remove it, no questions asked.
What the Google Cloud project does
Nothing with your data. The powell-at Google Cloud OAuth client exists
only so I can upload my own videos to my own YouTube channel via my own
command line. It has one authorized user: me. No one else can use it. It
doesn’t see, touch, or store anything belonging to any visitor to this site.
Third-party services
- GitLab Pages hosts the static site. Their privacy policy: https://about.gitlab.com/privacy/
- Cloudflare serves DNS and R2 media storage. Their privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
- YouTube hosts embedded video. If you play a video, YouTube applies its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. (I embed with
youtube-nocookie.comwhich delays cookie setting until you actually press play — the lightest-touch option YouTube offers.)
Changes
If I ever change this policy, the change will appear here. There is no mailing list to notify you because there is no mailing list.
