Festival Hipnosis (5ta edición)

Fifth edition of the Mexico City psych festival, headlined by The Mars Volta and Primus. The bill included Osees, Kikagaku Moyo, The Black Angels, Moon Duo, Chicano Batman, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Still Corners and others.

Kikagaku Moyo were a surprise addition — I’d missed my chance to catch the Brooklyn end of their farewell tour, and then there they were. Met the guitar guy backstage and also some other dude who I didn’t recognise at all (he didn’t seem fazed). Later he took the stage with Primus, playing A Farewell to Kings end to end — Les Claypool. Ha.
